Uceris

When and How to Take It

Some general considerations to keep in mind during treatment include the following:

  • Uceris comes in tablet form. It is usually taken by mouth once a day in the morning for up to eight weeks.
  • It does not seem to matter if you take it with food or on an empty stomach. If it seems to bother your stomach, try taking it with food.
  • Swallow the tablets whole; do not chew, crush, or open them.
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed.

Dosing Information

Side Effects With Uceris

Just like any medicine, Uceris can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. Most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
