Who Should Not Take Pentasa?

You should not take Pentasa if you are allergic to Pentasa, mesalamine, or any inactive ingredients used in making the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Also, you should not take Pentasa if you are allergic to salicylate medications.
