Colitis Home > Humira for Arthritis
Humira® (adalimumab) is a medication prescribed to treat several inflammatory conditions that affect the joints, spine, and digestive system. This medication can be used to treat several different types of arthritis, including:
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (also known as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis)
- Psoriatic arthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis.
There are many symptoms of arthritis, including chronic pain, along with tender, warm, and swollen joints. Humira is approved to treat the signs and symptoms of arthritis and, in some cases, can also prevent future joint damage. Although it can help improve the symptoms of various forms of arthritis, Humira is not a cure for these conditions.
