Infliximab Indications

The use of infliximab (Remicade®) is indicated in people who have certain inflammatory conditions that affect the skin, joints, or digestive system. Such conditions can include rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and psoriatic arthritis, among other things.

People with these medical conditions often have high levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in their body. Infliximab helps reduce the levels of TNF, which in turn, helps relieve the various symptoms associated with these conditions. In some cases, it can even help prevent future damage from occurring.
