Humira is approved for treating juvenile idiopathic (rheumatoid) arthritis in children age four years and older, but it is not approved for any other use in children. Talk with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using Humira in children.
Off-Label Humira Uses
On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Humira for something other than the conditions discussed above. This is called an "off-label" use. At one time, using Humira to treat plaquepsoriasis was considered an off-label use of Humira, and you will still find information on the internet stating that this is an off-label use. However, since Humira is now approved for plaque psoriasis, this is no longer an off-label use (it is an approved use).
