Humira Indications

Humira® (adalimumab) is approved for a number of uses (also called "indications"). For example, it is commonly used to treat the symptoms of a variety of inflammatory conditions that affect the joints, spine, or digestive system.

Humira is also approved for treating juvenile idiopathic (rheumatoid) arthritis in children age four and older, but it is not approved for any other use in children.
 
At one point, using this medication for the treatment of plaque psoriasis was considered an off-label Humira indication. However, the drug is now approved for this specific use.
