Side Effects to Report

Some Delzicol side effects are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
  • Worsening of ulcerative colitis symptoms
  • Gout
  • Depression
  • Signs of liver problems, such as:
    • Yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin (jaundice)
    • Dark urine
    • Upper-right abdominal (stomach) pain
  • Decreased urination
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:

    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Less Common Delzicol Side Effects

There are other side effects of Delzicol that can occur less frequently. For these side effects, it is difficult to tell whether the reaction is actually caused by Delzicol or something else.
These less common side effects include but are not limited to:
  • Anemia
  • Drowsiness
  • Vertigo (a spinning sensation)
  • Shakiness (tremors)
  • Hair loss  
  • Psoriasis
  • Dry skin
  • Taste changes
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
