Important Information for Your Healthcare Provider

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking this drug if you have:
  • Pyloric stenosis (narrowing of the outlet of the stomach)
  • Kidney disease, including kidney failure (renal failure)
  • Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.

What If I Take an Overdose of Delzicol?

Only a few cases of an overdose have been reported, and no serious effects occurred. In previous studies, very high doses of mesalamine (the active ingredient in Delzicol) caused kidney damage in dogs.
If you happen to take too much, seek immediate medical attention.

How Should This Medicine Be Stored?

Delzicol should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
