Colazal Medication Information

Healthcare providers often prescribe Colazal® (balsalazide disodium) to treat ulcerative colitis. This type of irritable bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by inflammation in the colon, which leads to symptoms like rectal bleeding. This drug comes in capsule form and is typically taken three times a day.
