Canasa 1000 Mg Suppositories

As a prescription drug, Canasa® (mesalamine) is used to treat ulcerative proctitis in adults. It comes in the form of a suppository and is sold in only one strength: 1000 mg. Generally, one Canasa suppository is inserted each day at bedtime. Your healthcare provider will tell you how long you need to use this medication.

Prior to use, the suppositories should be stored at room temperature (under 77°F). Higher temperatures may cause them to melt.
